Welcome to the home of The HawkFeather Dancers
Founded by New England-based Mohawk hoop dancer Pete FourWinds, The HawkFeather Dancers are a Native American exhibition group specializing in educational dance programs for schools, fairs, civic events, and other venues. Our focus is on contemporary Native dances and customs, and our goal is to not only share accurate representations of dance and traditions, but to encourage people to go to powwows and enjoy these dances and customs in their "natural element."
How do we do this? Simple. Our full-drum-and-dance programs run about 60 minutes, and feature brief demonstrations of some of today's most exciting Native American dances. Most of our performances include several interactive elements. In other words, guests will have a chance to try some of these dances themselves, alongside our dancers. All programs also include a Q&A period and an informal Meet & Greet following the performance.
